👋 WHO I AM

👋 WHO I AM

Hy, I'm Naveen, a designer 2.4 years into the field. I started in UI and web design, and now I'm moving into product UX.

While I enjoy making things look good, what actually drives me is the problem-solving side of design. I love the research, understanding how users think, and figuring out solutions. The most fun is when research challenges assumptions and reveals something unexpected.

🌱 WHERE I STARTED

🌱 WHERE I STARTED

For the last 2.4 years, I worked as a UI designer at Brandshark. The work was end-to-end. Stakeholder calls. Competitor analysis. Sitemaps. Wireframes. Final UI in Figma. Developer handoff. Repeat.

Projects ranged from solo founders to established companies, across industries and budgets.

Along the way, I learned how to:

Understand client expectations

Ship work on time

Utilize Figma, Relume, and AI-powered design tools

Communicate design decisions to client and developers

💡 THE SHIFT TOWARD UX

💡 THE SHIFT TOWARD UX

From the day I started learning design, I wanted to work on products. I got an opportunity as a UI designer and took it, because you start where you can.

Even while doing UI work, my attention kept drifting upstream. I kept asking “why” when looking at products.

Why this flow? Why this CTA here?

Was a decision intentional… or just convenient?

I often introduced small UX improvements to my website projects, even when UX wasn’t the primary focus. I stayed mindful of scope and timelines, and looked for opportunities to improve clarity and usability, not just visuals.

I like UI, but UX is what actually drives me.

After two years of UI-focused work, I knew I was ready to make the shift. I'm not running away from UI design but running toward product design, where I can finally do the work I've been building toward.

🛠️ LEARNING BY DOING

🛠️ LEARNING BY DOING

UX isn’t new to me. Early in my career, I completed a 4-month UX bootcamp where I learned research methods, user flows, journey mapping, and card sorting. That foundation stayed with me.

The system considers project timelines, team availability, deadlines, HR policies, and payroll data to generate confidence scores for each request. Research and prototyping are complete. I'm currently iterating based on user feedback.

⭐ WHAT I BRING

Intuitive & Practical Approach

Being intuitive and self-directed, I pick things up fast. When learning new skills, I focus on practical application. And I seek feedback (not every three minutes, but when it matters).

Professional Experience

14+ websites designed

(11 live). I understand stakeholders, workflows, and shipping under constraints. Stick to deadlines usually finish early.

Strong UI Execution

Once the UX is clear, I can execute fast and confidently. Visual design, layouts, interfaces development ready from day one. AI tools help me move even faster.

Realistic Expectations

I’m not expecting to lead projects from day one. I want to learn how strong product team think, decide, and iterate so that I can contribute, absorb, and grow into a product thinking over time.

Website work taught me to think in systems. I build design systems, think about component reusability, and work with developers on what's actually feasible.

🎯 WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR

I’m looking to join a design-led team where I can solve complex problems and contribute to the full product lifecycle. Early in the product journey, serious about doing the work. Happy to talk.
